YARN
My hot dog dog is one of my favourite projects of all time! I've knitted in various sizes, from the small DK version in the book to a huge super chunky one. I've included the options below for the different here. 

 

 

MY RECOMMENDED YARN

Stylecraft - Special DK. This yarn is made from acrylic (100%). It's a standard DK yarn and comes in lots of different shades. Out of all the DK yarns available (and there's loads) this is my favourite. 

You'll need: 1 ball of main colour (brown), 1 ball of camel for the outside of the bun, 1 ball of cream for the inside of the bun, 1 ball of yellow for the mustard. 

ALTERNATIVE YARNS 

You can use any DK yarn with a tension of 22 stitches x 30 rows = 10cm (4in). You'll need one ball per colour, like I've stated in the pattern. Some good alternatives are:

4mm (US 6) knitting needles. 

ADDITIONAL MATERIALS

2 x 8mm toy eyes and washers
1 x 10mm toy eye and washer
50g toy stuffing
Darning needle
